Robertson Family Farm CSA Agreement

Robertson Family Farm & CSA operates as a Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) model. CSA is a social and economic model that connects you to your food, the land, and with those that tend the earth. CSA is an economic model that allows you to place your food dollar directly in the hands of a family farm, a farm you know, a farm that operates without the use of chemical pesticides, herbicides, fungicides and insecticides while incorporating farming philosophies ranging from permaculture and bio dynamics to plain hard work. All of our farming practices respect the health and nutritional value of your food, while reducing the impact of agriculture on the environment.

Shareholders participate in the risks and uncertainties of farming as well as sharing in the rewards of a bountiful harvest. Having direct contact with the land can be a spiritually and physically rewarding experience. Family farmers can survive because of a guaranteed market that includes a dedicated community, a set income, and the freedom to experiment with new varieties and techniques.

Shareholders in the Robertson Family Farm CSA will receive a weekly share of vegetables that will vary in size and weight depending on the time of the season.

CSA members agree to support their farmer by sharing in the inherent risks of agriculture (poor weather, drought, hail, floods, early and late frosts, pests, disease and general crop failure, etc.) and the rewards (fresh, local vegetables, the bounty of a good season).

CSA farmers carefully plan for contingencies by using growing techniques that protect the harvest, minimize the risks, and optimize the rewards. On the whole, shareholders will get a wide variety of vegetables in plentiful amounts.

As a shareholder I understand this principle and agree that there is no guarantee on the exact amount or type of produce I will receive in my share.

By becoming a Shareholder, I commit to picking up my share weekly and I understand that if I, or someone I designate, is unable to pick up my share, the produce CANNOT be saved or picked-up at a later date.

Refunds are not given for any reason & referrals are the best form of compliment. We look forward to another great season.

We are always available to answer all of your questions by phone or through email to ensure that you are comfortable with your decision to become a CSA member. For more information, please contact Robertson Family Farm (530) 740-1001. andrewlacie@aol.com
